Elizabeth "Lizzy" Donaldson is a twenty-one year old Pittsburgh native studying English with a Creative Writing Focus and History at Allegheny College. Lizzy began writing creatively in elementary school, developing confidence and more focused interest as a student at the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project's Young Writers' Institute, where she studied under poets Stacey Waite and Brian Francis. In high school, Lizzy was introduced to creative nonfiction, which she studied at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and later, at Allegheny and the Black Forest Writing Seminar in Freiburg, Germany. Passionate about the poetry of musicians, too, Lizzy hosts a two-hour show on WARC Meadville, Allegheny's radio station and Meadville's own listening alternative, where Lizzy currently serves as Business Manager. Lizzy intends to graduate in May of 2015, though will always be a student of the arts.
